Taste of Somat – Weekly Class
September 13 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
Tuesdays | 5:00-6:00pm
Take an hour to nurture your whole self during this ongoing Somat class. Each week, Chiara leads breath and movement sequences on the Somat designed to calm your nervous system, quiet your muscles and decompresses your spine. The sequences are slow, organic and fluid, focusing on the spine and the rhythm of the breath. Effects include a settling of parasympathetic responses and easing of stress, as well as alleviation of neck, spine and hip complaints. Once in sync on the Somat, you’ll land in a sensory experience that strays from the physical into the psychological and emotional. In this state, you’ll reset the regenerative mechanisms of your nervous system, become attuned to your body’s messages, and experience more ease all around.
Open to all levels, this class is a good choice for folks looking to slow down, connect deeply with their bodies and beings, and move into a peaceful meditative state. All physical abilities are welcome.
Cost: $10-$20. You’re welcome to pay what you can during these challenging times.
Chiara will send a Zoom link to registered participants 30 minutes prior to class:
